Leaks

Refrigerant, also referred to as Freon, is the coolant within an air conditioning unit that assists in cooling, and the removal of heat & humidity. A refrigerant leak is considered to be one of the common issues that occurs with air conditioning units, which can ultimately have a significant effect on the performance, efficiency, and other components of the unit.

Signs of a refrigerant leak can be indicated by, temperature fluctuating, frozen coils/copper lines, and the presence of hissing sounds & oil build-up. In most cases, a refrigerant leak requires a trained technician to locate and repair. Repairing a leak cost can vary depending on the location of the leak.
