Maintenance

Most licensed AC companies offer preventative maintenance plans that cover a range of analyzing and tests to reassure your unit continues to perform properly and diagnose any potential issues. The maintenance could be a one-time thing in order to diagnose the status of your unit, or multiple visits over the course of a year

DIY Maintenance

(Maintenance that does not require any trained skills)

There are some preventative maintenances you could perform yourself in order to maintain your unit in good shape.

-Staying on schedule and changing out your filter is a key step to maintaining your unit. The more you eliminate any debris from clogging up a filter, the more your unit will perform efficiently.

- Maintaining a clean area around the indoor unit, keeps the air handler in a clean condition to perform efficiently.

- Maintaining a clean area also applies to the outdoor unit. Maintaining plants or the set up around your condenser is important so over time the casing around the condenser doesn’t suck up any debris, covering the coils, and prevent cooling.

-Make sure to keep your batteries up to date with your thermostat, sometimes having your thermostat power off because of bad batteries will turn off your unit completely.
